Digital Straight Edges
“Confidence in every single weld!” reflects the deep skill, precision, and responsibility welders feel, knowing their hard, defect-free work holds up critical rail infrastructure, built through experience, training, and meticulous preparation. Our digital straight edges support mastering technical parameters, ensuring safety and structural integrity for the rail industry and community.
Which steddi should I use?
We have various digital straight edges for either aligning the rails or for post-welding work, such as supporting the grinding process or assessing the running surface geometry. All steddis are built to last outdoors and will withstand heat, dirt, and impact.

Calibration
Each steddi receives a calibration certificate after being calibrated on a master straightedge grade A in accordance with AS 1003-1971 before despatch. Once in track, we advise yearly repeating calibration in accordance with AS1085.20.
Can I calibrate steddi myself?
For customers who wish to calibrate steddi themselves, we offer simple calibration jigs that can be used to perform the annual calibration. The calibration process is relatively straightforward, and apart from following a few important instructions, it doesn’t require any particular expertise.
